Keith is excited to have served you and your children and families on the board since 2008.
Together they have done the following:
- Set sound policy to ensure every student has high academic achievement.
- Created a bold and empowering strategic plan for 2011-2015.
- Streamlined the district’s budget to reduce transportation and other costs while providing more funds to schools.
- Heightened cultural proficiency and eradicated soft bigotry throughout school district.
- Hired a superintendent with local ties to St. Paul and St. Paul Public Schools.

Keith has also focused on:
- Advocating for increased focus and resources for underperforming students, especially African-American and other students of color, to eradicate the education equity gap.
- Championing the rights for all voices to be seated at the table for planning and discussion of district strategic issues.
- Advocating for reduction in central administration staff size.
- Visiting every SPPS school at least twice.
- Actively listening to parents, guardians, students and community members such as you.
In the next four years Keith plans to:
Increase enrollment in the Saint Paul Public Schools’ P-12 educational system
Decrease the number of non-enrolled students
Eradicate the education equity gap through strong family and community intervention
Empower teachers and staff to focus on helping students achieve academic success
Encourage students to empower themselves to learn
Partner with labor and business for apprentice/intern opportunities for students
Ensure the underrepresented have a voice at school board meetings
